First impressions are lasting impressions and customers take note in the e-mail invoices they receive from a business. StoreFront 6 provides powerful tools to build these e-mail templates however several key fields are missing. Information such as Date, Special Instructions, Gift Wrap details, and Order Unique ID are now available with this code modification which will make your e-mail templates shine.
When building e-mail templates, the popup window for field selection will now show four new fields; Short Date, Long Date, Order Unique ID, and Special Instructions. Short Date is typically m/dd/yy, Long Date is the full date spelled out including the day of the week, day, month, and year. Special Instructions are entered by the shopper, if nothing is entered, "N/A" will be entered. Lastly, when reviewing your database and attempting to find an order, you'll notice the first column (UID) is the easiest to reference an order. By inserting a Order Unique ID (UID) into the Vendor and Merchant notifications, it will be much easier to locate a particular order entry.
This modification is a must for professional e-mail templates in StoreFront 6. Estimated implementation is 15 minutes.
