The Navigator Control is a template driven ASP.NET server control for StoreFront 6 that displays an expanding catalog menu. When you select a category name, the catalog is displayed and the sub-categories are added inline to the menu.
The Navigator Control has two modes: Tree mode (shown above), and Branch mode. In Tree mode all the unselected categories remain on the menu and the subcategories of the selected category are added. In this mode, the Navigator Control can be used to navigate through the entire hierarchy of categories. However, this can produce a long and cluttered appearance if you have dozens of subcategories and many levels. In this case, you can use Branch mode.
In Branch mode the Navigator Control will only display the current category and it's subcategories.
In this case, you may want to add the the BreadCrumbs Control to display the parent categories. Together, the Navigator Control and the BreadCrumbs Control form a complete navigation solution
