Some StoreFront 6.0 users have reported encountering a problem where the Web Setup Wizard freezes while trying to create a new web store or import StoreFront files into an existing store. This error can be resolved by installing the latest version of the Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) on your machine according to the following instructions.
To download the latest MDAC:
Go to www.microsoft.com/data/ in your browser.
Locate and download the latest MDAC installation file. Save it to your Desktop.
Close all open programs, including those running in your system tray. Double-click the downloaded executable to install the latest MDAC.
StoreFront Support has also discovered that this problem may occur if one of the folders in the web (or the web's root folder itself) which is receiving the StoreFront files is configured to allow executables to run.
