StoreFront 2000 is fully integrated with Verisign’s popular PayFlow Pro payment processing service. A StoreFront 2000 web can be configured to use PayFlow Pro in a few easy steps. Note: this article includes instructions for both PayFlow Pro 2.0 and PayFlow Pro 3.0. All PayFlow Pro accounts established since about March of 2001 will use 3.0. If you are unsure of your Payflow Pro Version, contact Verisign Support.
USING PAYFLOW PRO 2.0 WITH STOREFRONT 2000 -
Establish a PayFlow Pro account with Verisign
-
Ensure that the host has the PayFlow Pro component installed and registered on the server where your site is hosted. Your host can obtain this file from StoreFront Support.
-
Connect to the database in your site using the StoreFront Administrator. For more information on connecting to a database using the StoreFront Administrator, please click here.
-
In the StoreFront Administrator, open the Transaction Tab. From the Transaction Method drop-down menu, select Signio PayFlow Pro. In the Payment Server Path, enter test-payflow.verisign.com (this is for test mode; to change to live mode, set the Payment Server Path to payflow.verisign.com). In the Payment Server Login field, enter your Verisign user name and password, divided by an @ sign. For example: username@password
-
Click OK, then yes to save. Close the Administrator and run a test order in your web using a credit card number of 4111111111111111. If the order completes without an error, then PayFlow Pro has been configured correctly and you can go live at any time. If you encounter an error, contact StoreFront Support.
USING PAYFLOW PRO 3.0 WITH STOREFRONT 2000 -
Establish an account with Verisign for the PayFlow Pro service.
-
Contact your host. Request that they obtain the PayFlow Component from StoreFront Support StoreFront.net and install it on the server where your site is hosted.
-
Have your host download the PayFlowPro SDK for Windows NT. They should extract the files from the download and locate the certs folder, then create a System environment variable called PFPRO_CERT_PATH pointing to the folder containing the cert file. For example:
C:\WINNT\pfpro_win32\VeriSign\payflowpro\win32\certs\
The server will have to be rebooted for the variable to take effect.
-
Connect to the database in your site using the StoreFront Administrator.
-
Contact StoreFront Support to receive an updated processor.inc file that will support the 3.0 version.
-
Test your site by ordering a product that costs less than $100. If the test is successful, connect to your database once more with the Administrator. Open the Transaction tab. Set the Payment Server Path to payflow.verisign.com, then click OK and select Yes to save. Return to manager.verisign.com and set your account to Live mode. You should now be ready to begin processing orders using PayFlow Pro 3.0.
